The GDS Fuel Pressure Spring

In the old days, fuel was fed to the engine by means of a gravity feed. Modern vehicles require diesel fuel injection pumps due to the high pressure requirements of the motors. Higher pressures increase the boiling point. As a side note, the devices are usually placed in the tank because it is farthest away from the engine and the liquid keeps it cool.

Incorporating a fuel pressure spring on the pump permits the release of gases and controls the pressures of delivery to the motor. The kinds that come OEM are good for ordinary use. However, whenever you upgrade this is an inexpensive feature that will really show. The GDS product raises the fuel pressure considerably from stock, and pressure loss during cycle fatigue. Stock can lose 25% and ours about 1%. Other than a torque bit, no special equipment is required for a simple installation.
